Is it a Goal or a Wish?
Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen. -Michael Jordan
I thought….. well yes, I want it to happen and yes, I wish it would happen but, how do I make it happen?
What are some of the things you want and wish could happen?
We all have them, you might call it a dream, a desire, a want, a fantasy but it just stays there in your imagination never appearing or manifesting in your life.
So how do we get it from in our mind to in our life or our hands?
First I believe that it must become a goal not just a wish.
A goal is something that you write down and look consistently, either through a picture ( vision board) or the written word.
A wish is something that you imagine in your head like winning the lottery, or wanting to fly like a bird or date George Clooney (wait, how did George that get in there .hehehe) but you think more than likely it will never happen.
The dictionary puts it like this :
Wish – feel or express a strong desire or hope for something that is not easily attainable; want something that cannot or probably will not happen.
Goal- the object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result.
So as we see here that a WISH is something we believe in our heart that is NOT easily attainable or will NOT happen.
A GOAL is a belief that your ambition and your effort when it’s aimed at something specific you will have a desired result.
Let’s decide to either get rid of those wishes that will not come to pass or decide to make them more of an attainable goal.
Which you can then make an effort to get focused and aim at your goals with a determined effort and a desired result.
A wish does not demand anything from you.
A goal demands a strategic plan and follow through to reach your desired result.
So today write down your goals, make a plan, implement that plan, aim and shoot at it with faith, discipline and courage and you too will be the one that MAKES IT HAPPEN!!
What are your plans to reach your goals in 2016, I would love to hear them and pray for them.
