Maybe the presidential candidates had a plan for the country but do you have a plan for your life?
Have you actually sat down with your spouse if you have one and created and planned out your future?
Whether it be your career, family, spiritually, personal growth, health, relationships, where you will live or your money saving strategy, you need a detailed plan to look at and pray over and speak out so you can hear it in your own voice because you will believe yourself over anyone else.
My husband and I take January 1st to pray, sit and think about our own personal life plan and then ours as a couple and family.
We write down our dreams, goals, plans and ideas no matter how far fetched they might sound to anyone or even ourselves and then we make a detailed game plan of how to attain those goals.
We then list in order of need, importance and desires and create a vision board or in a book the pictures that go with those dreams so we can keep it before our eyes and I put my biggest dream on my phone lock screen so everyday I see it and speak it out loud to myself.
Some dreams are not meant to come to pass that year but we can make baby steps in order to get there.
Say you want to go on a Hawaiian vacation and you research the flights, hotels, food, clothing, and activities and add them all up and get a estimate of what you will need to bring that goal it to pass.
This happened to me and its is what we did years before we actually went on that vacation in April of 2016. We wanted a Hawaiian honeymoon but we didn’t go until almost 16 years later. It did not take us 16 years to get there it only took us a couple of years, we always had a dream but until we got busy making that dream happen only then did it come to pass.
I want to encourage you that this works only if you work it and stay faithful to the plan.
Do you know that the only diet that works is the one you stick to!!!!
To be a success at this game of “LIFE” you must make the baby steps around the board ( your life) with intention and purpose and not just take what the roll of the dice gives you.
We need to have a willingness to defy expectations and head in a different direction then we did last year. Fear will try to make you change your vision but know where that is coming from, we know we can do nothing without God as our pilot.
Here’s the key to success: if you’re going to jump, know where you’re headed first. You don’t have to follow someone else’s path – in fact, you’re probably better off not doing that, they are not you!. But you’d better have a path lined up or you can waste a lot of time, energy and money wandering around clueless.
If you look back at your life and see that you have just allowed fate to run your life and not your dreams and goals then you need to take control for this new year of 2017. You can even start today to pray and ask God for his desires towards you, they are usually already in your heart already, the answers will not come in a thunderbolt ( if they do, good for you :))
Get your vision, just like
Habakkuk 2:2-3 says;
And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.
Since I started doing this about 3-4 years ago and seriously making a commitment to myself and God to actively pursue my God given purpose in this life, I have seen things that I had in my heart for decades suddenly come to pass. What changed you asked? well it was not a money difference, it was a renewed way of thinking in my heart .
Remember failing is part of the learning and growing process. Don’t let a failure de-rail you, it might just be your changing tracks to your final destination. Fail forward but never quit.
Don’t allow family and friends to tell you your crazy -that will never happen, if after you tell them you are seriously about what you are believing for and they continue to disrespect you or make fun of you, removing them from your life temporally or permanently might be the only way to walk out your calling here on earth. Not everyone is gonna be onboard with your life plan but they wont answer to God one day for YOUR life only you will.
Today make that decision to not be thrown around by life but, take your own life in your own hands and make your plan with God and watch what the two of you can do when you involve Him to light your path and let the Holy Spirit lead and guide you into those open doors because of the favor of God on your life.
Live your life on purpose with a purpose.
