What more do you want from me God?

📷

Have you ever been so burdened by any of these thoughts?

Do I need to pray more?

Read more of the Bible?

Give more money?

Spend more time  volunteering at the church?

Spend more time worshipping?

Do some more in depth Bible study?

Learn Greek or Hebrew?

Really, Im exhausted God!  How do I have time for my  spouse, family, job, hobbies or just downtime?

Is draining all of my time and energy what God really wants or expects from me?

If you asked me this years ago I would of said , yes of course and I did it all with enthusiasm and that ALL IN spirit.

It seemed thats what you do when you love God and want to serve him with all your heart.  But, what ends up happening is it becomes your life mission to please God with your works, yes, I said works!

We might have been taught that you CAN do it all and because your doing it all for God he will give you the strength to get through it all.  And the devil on your shoulder will say, If you don’t do it all then God won’t hear your prayer or who else will do what needs to be done for God?

Who will defend the Gospel, who will preach to the nations, who will teach others about worship?

That’s a lot of pressure for one women to bear, even a strong women.

Lets flip this and see what we get:

Maybe God wants less from us not more?  WHAT……. that’s crazy you may think?????

Less striving, less working so hard towards a closer relationship and understanding of HIs Word , less proving through our works how much we love Him.

Have you ever  thought that God wants more for us than more FROM us today?

Let’s run towards His grace and love today instead of running around crazy working FOR His grace and Love.

God is for us and NEVER against us! You can’t work harder for His love and His answers to your prayers.

I am learning to be happy with what I can do and that’s it and not allowing myself to be burnt out.  I know God’s love for me doesn’t come with a price tag in works.

By the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain  1 Corinthians 15:10

What are some things that you have learned to let go of to receive more of the love of God for you?
