There are people that are confident and there are those that are not and then there are those that are faking it to they make it.
Being confident is different that being cocky or a know it all, which there are plenty of those annoying people out there.
A confident person is someone who is sure of who they are and who’s they are.
Confidence is first believed on the inside before it manifests on the outside.
You have to believe in yourself!!!!!!! You might say but, I have nothing to believe in, I’m uneducated, not liked, don’t have a skill, un lucky in love, I have failed in everything I tried I guess Im just a loser.
Some of that might be true but, you have the power inside of you to change it all around right now ….today, as you read this.
It takes the same amount of effort to believe you can than it does to believe you can’t!
You need a paradigm shift in your thinking and body language.
Start with gratitude– Remember there are those less fortunate then you and be thankful for a healthy body, mind and soul. Start with the right perspective you will be in the right frame of mind for the day ahead of you. Spend time with God first and meditate on who He say’s you are in Him.
Stand up tall– Put those shoulders back and walk like you are capable of whatever you need to do. Attitude is everything. Start your self talk, I can this, I was born for this, God has made me a winner, I am confident, build yourself up with words that uplift your spirit not cut id down. Don’t hold yourself back by assuming you need to have vast experience for a job before you go after it. Sometimes they are looking for someone that is teachable and full of passion, you just never know what will happen but if you don’t try it will never happen.
Dress the part– If you want a certain job then dress like you have it. I don’t mean getting into debt by buying $1000 suits but I mean get in the habit of keeping your clothes cleaned and pressed and looking like you belong in the position you want. The way you look makes you feel powerful and confident!
Exercise and eat right– When your body is functioning properly you have the energy and strength to get things done. You can’t live a junk food life and expect to live the life of success. You are what you eat and how you maintain your temple.
Find a mentor- Don’t reinvent the wheel. Find someone who is willing to mentor you in the field that you want to pursue. If there is no one then buy books and listen to audio teachings on someone you admire and learn all their knowledge on that subject.
Learn to deal with rejection– Rejection and failure is part of life. When we are told NO we think… oh well that’s it, I’m done and we retreat but we need to learn how to fail forward. Life is not full of YES it has more NO’s than yes’s. It’s not failure that destroys our confidence, it’s not getting back up! Baseball players with the biggest home run records also have the biggest strikeout records. Taking more swings gets you where you want to go.
Do whatever it takes– If what you want requires more education then you need to find a way to get it. There are programs and people that have this knowledge of how you can further your knowledge but you must seek it out and not expect it to fall on you without you doing your due diligence. Ask and it shall be given.
Let others know your plan– When you share your dream for your life with someone ( not everyone) and ask for help from those that can help you, by letting them know what you want to achieve in your life, you never know if someone has some info that can help you.
The truth is that it is never too late to build your confidence!
Do yourself a favor and accept that you can one day wake up feeling strong, capable and confident. Ready to take on the world. But not without strutting outside of your comfort zone first and often.
Always lead with your strengths, and grow in your weaknesses.
Talk to different people everyday and learn something new. Step out of your comfort zone, feel the fear and do it anyway!
Have a vision of life that inspires you, then try every day to grow closer to the fulfillment of that vision.”
How do you build your confidence?
